ARTSPACE 2001 at Barn Galleries in Henley-on-Thames was again a
tremendous success with over 5,000 enthusiastic visitors coming
to see and buy. In this 10th year of ARTSPACE we showed over 60
artists - the biggest and most exciting yet. Barn Galleries sponsored
Lucy Ryan to produce a work that acted as a visitors book. She created
an art space akin to a privy where people could sketch and write
their views inside.
And now it's the Henley Festival of the Arts 11-15 July. This year,
following the success of Lucy Ryan's sound sculpture "Sonic
Skirts", we are creating a poetry gallery, SPREAD THE WORD,
with poetry readings happening nightly. There will be a plethora
of art works using text alongside interactive sound works.
